Today’s blog post is dedicated to Em-Power Protein Bars. What the heck are these bars you always speak of, you ask? Never heard of it, you say? Well friends, it’s time you get the low down on this great product. As you may remember, with my eating program, I eat five times a day. I am usually too lazy to grab anything but a protein bar for my mid-morning and mid-afternoon snacks. For a long time I would pick up protein bars from the store, try a different brand here and there, and really just not like any of them. They either tasted like crap, and I spit them out and threw them away, or they just didn’t hit the spot. I always tried to get the bars highest in protein so I wasn’t shorting myself too much on not having anything other than a protein bar for a snack. I was always worried about how much sugar the bar contained, and well, in all honesty, were they really good for me. Yes, all of these problems from a mere protein bar. The struggle for a good protein bar is real, however, I solved the problem!
The solution to the problem, Em-Power Protein Bars. The founder, Jodi Tiahrt, is a fellow small town South Dakota girl. We went to high school together, and she went on to conquer great things in her life! She is a two time drug-free Natural Olympian, and has won seventy-six titles in fitness competitions. You can find her on Instragram, @missjodirae. It only makes sense that she would put all of her knowledge and hard work into creating a one of a kind protein bar. Check out Em-Power Protein Bars on Instagram, @empowerbarcreator. When I learned Jodi was starting her business, and saw numerous posts on social media about how good her bars were, I wanted to try them for myself. After trying them, I was hooked. As I am a true believer in a great product, I now call myself a Brand Ambassador, and am proud to represent Em-Power Protein Bars.
Ok, ok, enough of me ranting and raving about them, you are all probably wondering what the MACROS are. Well, it depends on the flavor, yes, there are many flavors. The current flavors are: (1) Chocolate Caramel; (2) Cinnamon Bun; (3) White Chocolate Peanut Butter: (4) Peanut Butter & Jelly; (5) Peanut Butter Paradise; (6) Caramel Apple; (7) Dark Chocolate Coconut; (8) Vanilla Almond; (9) Berry Bliss; (10) Pumpkin Pie; And (11) Blueberry Bliss. Em-Power Protein Bars are all natural, no soy, no MSG, gluten-free, hormone-free, lactose-free, high protein, high fiber protein bars sweetened only with stevia. See the MACRO information below.
If I had to pick my top three flavors, I would tell you to try the Vanilla Almond, White Chocolate Peanut Butter, and the Pumpkin Pie. BUT, you can’t stop there, each and every flavor tastes great, and believe me, I have tried them all. I never thought I would say I have to have a certain kind of protein bar around, but I do now. I try not to run out, otherwise I am very sad when it comes to snack time. I also like to eat them after a long run, or after a half marathon. Last Saturday I ran the Haunted Half in Salt Lake City. About 10 minutes after I ran, my stomach was telling me to eat something, but after running so long, my body doesn’t always like real food right away. I ate a Vanilla Almond protein bar, and I felt great!
At the present time, you can get them by going to www.joditiahrtfitness.com, however, by the end of the week the new website will be up, and you get your bars by visiting www.em-powerbars.com. If you want to win a free box, flavor of your choice, I am hosting a Halloween costume contest over on my Instagram feed, @runnergirlmac. Check it out!
Until next time, keep moving my friends.
